Equine Reproduction
Laboratory
Colorado State University
Colorado State University veterinarians pioneered the technology in artificial reproduction for horses. This internationally respected program engaged Pelsue Architecture to design the new home for their growing program.
Designed to present a welcoming face to horse owners, the building includes Lobby and Conference spaces for meeting with clients as well as surgical spaces for the delicate work required for successful pregnancy in mares. Three distinct programs are housed in the new building: Artificial reproduction, stallion services, and mare support services. All three programs have customized laboratories to support the delicate work required.
At CSU, the University Equine Reproduction program is both a teaching program and a commercial enterprise serving the purebred horse community. The customized design by Pelsue Architecture supports the present work and future vision of the Equine Reproduction program.
